We are seeing a gradual increase in awareness of the issue. This is due to the approaching legal deadline, which is increasing public attention, as well as the efforts of many organisations, institutions and individuals to make progress in this area..

For more than a decade, the Urban Planning Institute of the Republic of Slovenia has also been committed to further improving accessibility of buildings through systematic data collection, training of experts and public awareness raising. Through the implementation of projects, it contributes to the realisation of a more accessible environment for all people, regardless of disability. Our efforts will continue this year and beyond the deadline, as the accessibility situation will certainly not be fully addressed by the end of the year.
