As the deadline for making all public buildings properly accessible is approaching (the deadline expires on 11 December 2025), a National Advice and Information Point has been set up to raise awareness, provide assistance and advice on how to make the necessary improvements. This offers a one-stop shop:
- comprehensive information and materials on accessibility and design for universally accessible public space,
-
assistance and advice on all aspects of making public buildings accessible to people with disabilities,
- information and clarification on the legal obligations to ensure accessibility of public buildings.
The point was established in 2024 at the Urban Planning Institute of the Republic of Slovenia under the auspices of the Ministry of Labour, Family, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities.
This year, the point will also develop a public facility accessibility self-assessment form, which will allow you to assess how accessible your facility is and what interventions are still needed to ensure that it meets the requirements by 11.12.2025 at the latest.
